First Taste of Winter

Summary

The first taste of winter is bringing widespread snow accumulations of 1-12 inches across the higher terrain of the Mid-Atlantic on Monday and Tuesday. Snow accumulations will be heaviest in the NW Mid-Atlantic near 12 inches due to lake effect snow. Warmer air will move in Wednesday with a couple rain and snow showers in the northern half of the Mid-Atlantic with minimal impacts through Friday.
