N.S.W. Scored, Vic Didn't, Now for a Wee Quiet Spell

Summary

A northern storm brought 10–20cm to NSW resorts, while Victoria missed out. High pressure settles in for Friday and the weekend, offering excellent conditions. Northwest winds strengthen Monday ahead of a front on Tuesday, which will first bring rain, then a dusting of snow to upper slopes later in the day.

Short Term Forecast

Forecast for Friday 12th to Sunday 14th September

Friday brings a fine start before cloud spreads across Victoria with southwest winds. Saturday is mostly clear with light cloud and shifting winds, while Sunday turns partly cloudy with possible drizzle and strengthening northwesterlies.

Forecast for Monday 15th & Tuesday 16th September

Monday stays partly cloudy with strengthening northwest winds, reaching gale force in exposed areas. On Tuesday, a front brings morning rain, afternoon showers with snow on upper slopes, then clears at night as gale winds ease.

Extended Forecast

Starting Friday, September 19th, a series of storms could bring several days of significant snow and rain, though details remain uncertain.
