Weekend's Top-Up Leaves Us With A Nice Settled Spell

Summary

The weekend storm dropped 10–20 cm of dry powder, enhanced by snowmaking in the cold. High pressure brings clear, calm conditions Monday through Thursday, with cold nights keeping snow guns running for excellent on-piste conditions. A weak front may bring a few rain showers on Friday, but a cold change should clear things for the weekend.

Short Term Forecast

Forecast for Monday 18th to Thursday 21st August

Monday to Thursday will be mostly sunny and fine, with chilly south-easterly winds early in the week, turning north-easterly by Thursday, and some afternoon clouds in New South Wales midweek.

Forecast for Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August

Friday sees cloud and northerly winds with afternoon showers, possibly dusting the tops, before cool southerlies clear skies Saturday and calm, sunny conditions return Sunday under high pressure.

Extended Forecast

From Tuesday 26th August, storm activity is likely with multiple systems bringing rain, high-level snow, and strong northwesterlies early in the week, then cooler winds and lower-level snow later, making it a potential powder week.

Thanks for reading. The next forecast will be out on Wednesday.
