Friday will be the warmest day of the first week of January. Strong winds will be an issue on Saturday. Temperatures plummet into the teens on Sunday and Monday. New Mexico should receive a refresh from a storm arriving January 6th into 7th. This system will cut off and drift into the southwest, meaning lots of uncertainty in the forecast.
