Summary

Today's models have continued to show the ridge breaking down, beginning with a buckle late this weekend. The first system looks to favor the PNW and drag south along the CA coast, and lose its punch. The next few systems might be better for the Rockies; however, the track is still uncertain. Cold air initially seems confined to the PNW, northern Rockies, and Canada. Late next week looks better.
