Summary

Warm subtropical moisture is pushing into the west on Wednesday, with snowfall in the Sierra continuing above 8,000 feet. The general trend is for colder air to hit the Sierra Thursday night-Friday with heavy snowfall down to 5500 feet. The Rockies give Santa a race to the summits to find snowfall. The PNW keeps snow levels near or just above the bases until Friday when cold pow moves back in.
