Final Post of the 2025 Season

Summary

A late snow top-up on Thursday added up to 5cm at Perisher, boosting the snowpack for the final few days. Victoria’s resorts wrap up on Sunday under sunny skies after a windy Friday, while NSW resorts close Monday with a wet, blustery start before clearing for a brighter finish.

Forecast for Friday 3rd October

Friday brings cloudy, overcast conditions with snow flurries turning to drizzle lower down, while strong southwesterlies ease slightly.

Forecast for Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th October

Saturday brings mostly sunny skies with some high clouds as southwest winds shift northwest. Sunday, the Closing Day for Mt Buller, Hotham, and Falls Creek, will be dry but cloudier, with strengthening warm northwest winds potentially affecting lift operations.

Forecast for Monday 6th October

Monday’s Closing Day for Thredbo and Perisher starts with morning rain and strong northwest winds, then clears to partly cloudy skies with sunny spells and lighter westerlies.
