Polar Vortex, Winds, and Snow Next Week

Summary

A system tracking south of the area is bringing rain and snow to the region, favoring the central and southern Cascades through Thursday. We'll see more action this weekend as some moisture streams in over the ridge moving into the northwest, but snow levels will be high. A much more interesting storm is possible next week, with potential involvement of the polar vortex and feet of snow.
