Light Rain and Snow with Strong Winds

Summary

A few areas in the northern and western Mid-Atlantic will see initial light snow on Friday before changing to light rain overnight. Strong winds (>40mph) on Friday will continue on Saturday as a cold front changes rain to snow. Snow accumulations will be light of 1-4 inches but will increase around the Great Lakes this weekend via lake effect. Our eyes will be on a coastal storm next week on 1/16.
