Snow accumulates north and west

Summary

This first widespread snowfall of the year moves into the Mid-Atlantic on Tuesday. Warm air pushes north Tuesday evening and into Wednesday, causing mixed precipitation and rain. Most areas will see at least 1 inch of snow, with 2-5 inches north and west. Lake effect and upslope snow showers strengthen Thursday with more accumulating snow.
