Good news! An actual snowstorm seems likely for Friday and Saturday

Summary

It's been a while since I have been excited about the snow forecast, and it feels good to have flakes to discuss. From Thursday night through Saturday, many mountains could see meaningful snow with 5-10 inches possible for some areas and a few spots going over 10 inches. This is good. But. There is high uncertainty, so stay tuned for updates as the storm approaches.
